Music

We have found a piece of music that we like but we were also thinking of having a girly song for when she is getting ready to make it seem more realistic and so it is not so 'typical'.

Types of diagetic and non-diagetic sound that we could be good for our film;

  • Direct sound- Live sound
  • Studio sound-  Sound recorded in a studio to improve the sound, mising out ambient sound.
  • Selective sound- The removal of sounds and making some sounds more recognisable
  • Sound perspective/aural perspective-  The impression of distance in sound
  • Sound bridge- Adding to continuity through sound (narration, dialogue or music)
  • Dubbed dialogue- Post-recording the voice-track in the studio, the actors matching their words to the on-screen lip movements.
  • Parallel sound- sound caused by some event on screen which matches the action
  • Commentary/voice-over narration. Commentary spoken off- screen over the shots shown
  • Sound effects- Any sound from any source other than synchronised dialogue
  • Music- Music helps to add an atmosphere
  • Silence- Silence can show a lot of things
